Healthy Berry Smoothie Recipe
“When life gives you lemons, make lemonade!” Hmm…anyway…when life handed me blueberries, I made smoothies, muffins, cakes, and icecreams! Yeh yeh 🙂
One day while I was veggie shopping, I was very surprised to find blueberries at the local veggie vendor. If you live in India, then you will know that some fruits (for e.g. blueberries) are indeed a very rare sight in the local markets. In my jubilant mood, I lost control of my legendary bargaining skills and grabbed 2 boxes of blueberries for 500 rupees. I was already dreaming of the recipes I’d make with these berries.
Until that point in life, I had never tasted blueberries. However, I knew that blueberries are a super food and are good for the brain. I was excited and tasted them. They had a sweet and slightly sour taste. No other Asian fruit tastes similar to the blueberries. For me, it was a new and pretty unique taste. Do grab some blueberries whenever you get the chance and taste them.
For this recipe post, I have made a milkshake, without any sugar ofcourse. And as usual, it’s yummy!
There are hardly any steps to describe for this recipe but, as usual, I have stated the important information about the calorie content. Also, it might be of some help to those who need a recipe to experiment whenever they lay their hands on some blueberries.
I have prepared this recipe with coconut milk too and there is a very subtle difference in taste. The vegan version has a nuttier texture as compared to the cow milk one. If you are vegan, then do try the coconut milk version. Use chilled milk for both versions.
50 grams (1 small) Banana
50 grams Blueberries
100 ml Cow Milk
Put all ingredients in the blender jar.
Blend on medium speed for 20 to 30 seconds.
