Nachos are a great & refreshing alternative to the routine Indian evening snacks like Pohe, Upma or Thaali Peet. Nachos (made from Tortillas) taste great with tea. They are also a great dish for parties. They can be mixed with Chaat Masala to make them even more exciting to the Indian taste buds. Once you have learnt this Tortilla Chips recipe then making Nachos will take less than 10 minutes.
Equipment and Utensils
Frying pan with lid
Flat metal spoon
120 grams (1 cup) Sweet Corn Kernels
50 grams (2 small cubes) Cheese Grated
1 teaspoon Vegetable Oil
½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Crushed Black Pepper Corns
1 tablespoon Parsley finely chopped
Put frying pan on medium heat.
Add 1 teaspoon vegetable oil in it.
When oil is moderately hot, add all corn kernels.
Add salt and pepper; mix well.
Cover with the lid.
Let corn kernels cook in their own moisture for 2-3 minutes.
After 2-3 minutes, open the lid.
Check for seasoning and switch off the flame.
Let this mixture cools down.
Now Cover oven tray with aluminum foil.
Arrange tortilla chips on it.
Add cooked corns on all the chips.
Now cover all chips with cheese.
Preheat the oven at 180oC for 10 minutes.
Now put this tray in the oven for 1 or 2 minutes so the cheese is melted on top.
Remove the tray from oven, sprinkle parsley on top and serve them.
Note: You can serve without putting them in the oven.
