Healthy Fruit Drink
Boiled raw mangoes are used to make famous drink called ‘Panha’. It is a Maharashtrian delicacy and every Maharashtrian household has its own variation of this ‘Panha’.
Today’s drink too is made up of raw mangoes but it is different from traditional recipe of ‘Panha’.
During the mango season our tree gets fully covered with mangoes. 4-5 mangoes fall from the tree on almost a daily basis. I make many mango dishes like raw mango chutney, fish curry using raw mangoes and sweet relish too. Looking at the prices of mangoes in the market, I feel that it’s wise to use the fallen mangoes to make some interesting recipes.
One day my mother called me up and gave me this instant raw mango drink recipe. I went to the kitchen and immediately prepare this instant energy drink. It took me just 5 minutes to whip up this drink. It is really a quick and easy recipe to make.
Addition of saffron-cardamom syrup enhances its taste. This season, I am making it almost every day. Now that this recipe is revealed, you too can prepare it. Have this drink instead of afternoon tea or coffee. You’ll find it very refreshing to drink in this hot weather.
Equipment and Utensils
Mixer or Blender
1 Raw Mango peeled, deseeded and cut into big chunks
4 teaspoon Sugar
½ teaspoon Saffron-Cardamom Syrup
¼ teaspoon Salt
Put all given ingredients into a mixi jar.
Blend it for 2-3 minutes, until a smooth paste is formed.
Now add 1½ cup chilled water, mix well.
