This is a very simple and easy dessert that can be used as ‘Prasad’ in a ‘Pooja’. It is a nice option as a sweet for any kind of function or get-together. It has the unique flavor of mango combined with the sweetness of sugar.
Equipment and Utensils
Nonstick pan
Flat wooden spoon
Tray or Dish
Ingredients
200 grams (1 cup) Grated Mawa (Reduced Milk)
60 grams (½ cup) Powdered Sugar
50 ml (¼ cup) Mango Pulp
½ tablespoon Pure Ghee
1 teaspoon Cardamom Powder
1 tablespoon Dry Fruit Powder
Directions
Put ghee in a pan and keep the pan on medium high flame.
Add mawa, mango pulp and sugar.
Mix well and stir continuously till mixture starts to thicken up.
Take the thickening mixture off the flame.
Add cardamom powder and mix.
Grease the tray with 4-5 drops of ghee.
Add mixture to the tray and spread it evenly.
Sprinkle dry fruit powder on top.
Let it cool for an hour.
Now cut the hardened mixture into square pieces.
Store the pieces in an air tight container.
Note 1: It will remain fresh for 2-3 days outside at room temperature, but it’s better to refrigerate it.
Note 2: In this recipe the mango pulp is already sweetened. However, if the mango pulp is without sugar then 120 to 130 gms of sugar should be used.
