Can you imagine the vegetable side dish made with ripe papaya? It is very tasty and quick stir fried dish which uses ripe papaya. This is very healthy way to include this fruit in your diet. This is not over ripped papaya. This fruit is firm and just ripe form. Taste this healthy and nutritious dish with rice and rassam.
Equipment and Utensils
Wok(Kadhai) with lid
Flat metal spoon
250 grams (1½ cups) Firm Ripe Papaya, peeled and cut into 1 cm. cubes
7-8 Curry Leaves
1 teaspoon Cumin Seeds
½ teaspoon Salt
½ tablespoon Pure Ghee
Juice of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
½ teaspoon Roasted Cumin Powder
½ teaspoon Kashmiri Red Chilly Powder
Put ghee in a wok and keep it on medium flame.
When ghee is hot, Crackle cumin seeds.
Add curry leaves and papaya cubes.
Sprinkle salt, mix gently and keep the lid on.
Lower the flame and let it cook for 4-5 minutes.
Now open the lid and add dry spices.
Mix well and check for seasoning.
Again cover with the lid for 1-2 minutes.
Remove from heat, add lemon juice.
Garnish with chopped coriander and serve hot with phulka.
